LIFE STEM Academy
LIFE STEM Academy (Fargo ND/Grand Forks ND) is a full 5 day K-12 and a hybrid homeschool academy that exists to inspire students to become lifelong learners. In an era of massive information and knowledge, we want to raise thinkers who can make sense of what they are learning.
Every young person is blessed with talents and abilities and we want to help them discover those talents and to encourage them to use them to honor their Creator and bless those around them. We teach from a Biblical worldview and integrate this into our understanding of history and science.
We aim to inspire students to understand concepts in Science and Mathematics as well as the history and context that gave rise to the discoveries in Science and Mathematics. We teach History and Literature in an integrated fashion to allow students read writings that occurred during specific time periods in history which they are studying.
We also prepare students for CLEP tests so they can start getting college credit in middle school.
Our goal is to help students finish their academic careers with efficiency so they can focus on ensuring they find their talents and connect them to their future careers. We do this through math programs like our Counting to Calculus course where students receive all the content they need for Math which they can always refer back to. We also raise the bar in education by treating our students with respect and give them the tools they need to grow using the zone of proximal development approach.
Considering the amount of information readily available on the internet, we will teach our students how to research and how to learn. With the tools available to us, we can provide resources to help each student flourish. We can then proceed to fill in the gaps as they learn how to learn.
